Quiver Mission,
Life & Liberty Ministries and local Christians and preachers
joined forces to oppose the homosexual group known as SoulForce.
This group was founded by "Rev." Mel White, who was a
ghost writer for such notable Christian leaders as Pat Robertson,
Jerry Falwell, and Dr. D. James Kennedy, before he left his wife
and family for his homosexual lover.
White teaches that the
Bible does not condemn homosexuality, and that God "made us
this way". He says that homosexuality is "a gift of God".
This is the second year that the Murch Family has come to oppose
their public filthiness. This year, Bruce Murch had special signs
made up especially for the occasions when we preach and witness
at sodomite events.
These signs were donated
by Christian-owned PIP Printing franchise in Springfield, Massachusetts.
One of the owners is a long-time friend and supporter of the Murch
Family.
The police barricaded
us off from the sodomites in the park this year, and that made it
virtually impossible to witness one-on-one to them. But we preached
with the truth horns, and often overpowered their own speakers.
Often, the speakers at their podium were so distracted, they began
answering us from their podium!
Some of the young members
of the Green and Murch Families took turns reading scripture and
rebuking the wickedness of the sodomites. Elijah Murch (7), Josiah
Murch (5) and Gabriel Green (9) got their feet wet doing this for
the first time.
A new unconstitutional
permit ordinance has taken effect in Lynchburg, the nearest city
to where the Murches live. At this event, Bruce Murch was threatened
with arrest if he brings his family to the public sidewalks of Lynchburg,
because the new ordinance requires a permit for any group over 10
people for a "planned event". A Captain told Bruce that
since his family consists of 11 people, anything he did on the public
sidewalk in Lynchburg would constitute a "planned event"
and he would be arrested as "the leader of the group".
We got this whole conversation on videotape, and a Christian legal
defense group is examining it for possible federal suit against
the City of Lynchburg. This suit may be the only way that Bruce
can ever bring his family to the streets of Lynchburg again without
being arrested!
