Philadelphia
Campus Preaching Tour
September
24-27, 2003
Full Quiver Mission
joined street preacher Michael Marcavage and
Repent America, along with
Life & Liberty Ministries, street evangelists Jason
and Sarah Storms and local Philly-area anti-abortionists for
a four-day tour in Philadelphia. We set up our graphic signs in
downtown Philadelphia at historic City Hall; the Museum of Art,
and Planned Parenthood. We also witnessed and preached at Temple
University, Pennsylvania State College and West Chester University.
We also conducted an Ecclesiastical
Court on the steps of the Federal Building, to hold the Federal
Courts accountable to God's Law.

At left is the Truth Truck recently purchased by Denny Green of
Life & Liberty Ministries. The truck is equipped with a loud
speaker system with a headset/microphone, so Deny can drive in
traffic and preach over the loudspeaker system.
The campus preaching
was by far the most enjoyable for all.
This affords everyone the opportunity for witnessing one-on-one
and in small groups to the college students. We stayed 2 to 3 hours
at each campus, and it was hard to leave once we got a crowd. The
Murch children love the interaction with the college kids, and the
students are often surprised that children so young hold their own
against their worthless secular humanist arguments.

debates with "Christians" who say we are a "bad
witness". When pressed by Bruce they couldn't say what their
method was to reach the lost. Bruce replied, "I like my way
better than your way".

the streets of the Temple University Campus.
There was a big difference
between ministering on closed campuses and city campuses. In a city
campus, there are basically just a huge group of University buildings
in the middle of the city, utilizing public roads. It is not like
a campus that is basically gated in, and wherever you walk is a
part of the campus. The mix of people on the streets of a city campus
is broader, but there are fewer places to simply engage students
as a group. We find both settings to be a challenge in their own
way, but we enjoy the setting of a closed campus where our presence
is immediately seen and a large crowd gathers. We almost are lost
in the crowd of a city campus.

LEFT:
Beverly Murch, flanked by Evan (10)
and Hannah (11) witnesses to students who complain about us having
our children along. It really bothered them that our kids were
so vehemently opposed to abortion, AND that they knew exactly
why. RIGHT:
Lauren debates with a professor who
stated that the unborn are not children because "they don't
have Social Security Numbers!" (No, I'm not kidding. He said
that. And he teaches college.) Lauren pointed out that she does
not have a SS number, so was she not a person? He was incredulous
and was sure that she MUST have one, because "everybody does".
So, where did you send YOUR kids to college, folks?
We could not tour
Philadelphia without standing as a witness against the slaughter
at Planned Parenthood. It was the usual sad affair there. "Escorts"
were present to "protect" the women from us (read: make
sure they don't get any literature that might make them change their
minds). We pleaded with them not to kill their children. Some of
the local folks who were with us are regulars at this abortuary.
Couple after couple went in, probably about 20 in the two hours
we were there.

Local Christian Linda
Beckman, a dear friend of the Murch Family, tries to dissuade
a couple from killing their child.
RIGHT: Preachers

deathscorts and a local resident, respectively.

who lead the children to death's door.

Anti-Choice Zealots
line up on an overpass during the evening rush hour. Tens of thousands
of people saw these photos on their way home from work. This will
make interesting dinner conversation.
