The Mission stopped in busy Jackson, Mississippi for the afternoon rush hour. The police were very hostile, and immediately shut down the street preaching. The street we were on was on the county line, so the preachers crossed the street into the county jurisdiction and were able to preach for another half hour before the county officials forced them to turn off the truth horns.
Jackson is the home of Roy MacMillan, a co-defendant with Bruce Evan Murch in the Nuremberg Files Lawsuit, in which both men have judgments around $6 million held against them. The case is currently on a writ of certiorari at the Supreme Court. Roy's wife is former abortionist and pro-life activist Beverly MacMillan. Roy brought about 25 local folks along to join the mission.

Pastor Matt does an interview live during the evening news. Street Preacher Jason Storms holds forth to the incredible back-up of traffic in Jackson. He was later silenced by a "noise ordinance" that forbids amplification and moved across the street.

News crews actually wander out into the street to interview passersby about what they think about our bloody photographs. The funny thing is, the crowd was actually very supportive. They had to do several interviews before they could come up with someone to criticize us (which was what they were looking for, of course). The police finally chased the reporters out of the street.
MERIDIAN!! Boy were we dreading this stop!
This city had told us in advance that they absolutely would not allow us to set up our signs. As written before, Bruce had asked the representative of the Louisiana State Police to contact the Chief of Police in Meridian, to tell him about what he observed in New Orleans. He made that call. When we showed up in Meridian, there was not a soul around. We set up the signs, and cut loose the preachers! Police cars drove by frequently, but did nothing! At the end of the event, the watch commander approached Pastor Matt and told him that this was the best and most organized and peaceful demonstration he had ever seen!

Aaron (20) and Sam Murch (14) set up along with a local person who showed up to help. Denny Green of Life and Liberty Ministries in Petersburg, VA freely walks through traffic to hand out literature.

Bruce Evan Murch preaches to traffic stopped at the light at the end of the line of signs. Missionaries pause to give God praise for a terrific stop, and for turning the hearts of the police who had been determined to prevent us from showing and preaching the truth.

Sunday, a day of rest and worship, found the Missionaries at a beautiful park behind Beauvoir, the estate of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America. Pastor Matt preached on Godly resistance to government when it denies God and His law.
The day of rest was sorely needed. A strange flu had swept through the tour from the very first day, bringing fevers, nausea and other horrendous symptoms for about a day or two for each one that got it. At one point we had over 25 people sick at one time. The Murch family was not untouched. Seven of the Murch children ended up catching it. It caused to miss one stop in Mobile, Alabama, as we rested and decided whether to continue the tour or not. The LORD brought to mind the verse, "endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ". Our family all agreed we should press on. Some of the men prayed over Jesse (12) who had been sick for four days. He was well enough to go back out to the street the next day. Praise God!!
