Day 2: New Haven & West Hartford, Connecticut
Springfield, Massachusetts
Full Quiver Mission and Missionaries to the Preborn took to the busy streets of New Haven, Conn., just blocks from Yale University during the morning rush hour. Again, we found many folks receptive to the literature. There were of course, many that objected to the graphic pictures as they drove to work with their coffee and bagel. The truth was proclaimed and witnessed to. The city was put on notice.

Missionaries display a 7th week murdered baby along with with a sign that reads, "Are we going to be like the Christians who did nothing to help the Slaves and the Jews?" Banner at right is a quote from Ezekiel 22: "Shew the bloody city her abominations". We did exactly that.

Murch children line the green in downtown New Haven at the corner of Chapel & Church Streets with the images that they cannot ignore. The town was preparing for a big concert on the green the coming weekend. Pastor Matt Trewhella and Bruce discuss the morning's plans with New Haven Police, who were professional and supportive.

Samuel Murch (13). Serious about his work.
West Hartford, Conn.

The Missionaries set up at Bishop's Corner in West Hartford, Connecticut for the lunch rush. Ron Brock drove his infamous mini-motorhome into town. It has the pictures of aborted babies permanently painted onto it. He also has a loudspeaker system with a bullhorn mounted to the roof. The inscription under the word "SHAME" is, "Why Is The Church Silent?" We had several good street preachers traveling on this tour. This is Mark Deiner of Pennsylvania. He preached the Gospel from the street corners of virtually every city we went to.

Local TV stations were out doing interviews with the Murch children. West Hartford is an upscale community with a strong Jewish population. The locals were furious that we would equate the abortion holocaust with "their" holocaust. They complained to police, screamed at us, threatened to "sue" for "defamation" and generally showed themselves to be ignorant and blind. You would think that a people that had such a holocaust in their history would be able to see...
These
two showed up with their sign "US out of my uterus". Another man
showed up to join them. At one point, just the two men were holding the sign.
Women often shout at our men that we have no business opposing abortion because
we are not women and it is none of our concern. Given that men don't have a
uterus, we were curious just what business it was of theirs to advocate
abortion, and to tell private citizens that they want the US government out of
"their" uterus.
The whole thing was rather comical.
SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS ! !

This is the Murch Family's former home town. There are only two photos because so many local folks came out to join us that Bruce spent all his time yacking with old friends and supporters, he had no time to take pictures!
Missionaries set up at the corner of Boston Road and Parker Street, the busiest intersection in the city. Springfield is home to a large baby-killing center that was recently bought by Planned Parenthood. That place was the scene of many of Operation Rescue events led by Bruce from 1989 to 1995.
