RICHMOND POLICE OFFICER SEEKS TO QUIET CHRISTIAN WITNESS
-Denny Green
On February 1, 2003, Life and Liberty Ministries organized more than thirty Christians to bring the truth to those attending the Jefferson / Jackson Dinner. This is the VA Democratic Party's largest annual fund raising dinner. All who entered were confronted with the truth of American child sacrifice. The Democratic Party of Virginia advocates the killing of children for any reason and without exception while they reside within their mother's womb.
Full Quiver Mission and Life and Liberty Ministries were on hand to call those who endorse the murder of children to repent. Photographs of the murdered preborn were
displayed lawfully on the public sidewalk and the Gospel was presented with power.
Despite the fact that every Christian behaved themselves in a Godly manner and were careful to obey the law, one faithful witness was unjustly arrested and charged with
trespass. Joe Christian, from Pennsylvania, was cuffed and taken to the police station where he was held for several hours by an officer who made up the law as he went along.
We were informed by several Officers who came to the scene, that the public sidewalk was private property. When questioned, they wouldn't respond with answers and threatened to arrest all who walked along on the public sidewalk. When a Supervisor showed up, it was clear that he knew that his Officer had overstepped his boundaries but he refused to release our Brother Joe. Eventually the police left the scene while a handful of faithful Christian witnesses remained on the public sidewalk.
Seeing the Instant Fruit of Our Labor
-Full Quiver Mission
While the rest of the Murch Family was witnessing against child-murder in Richmond, Bruce Evan Murch was travelling. The next morning after the Richmond witness, he preached at Reformation Lutheran Church in Bowie, Maryland. Having just spoken with Bev Murch, Bruce relayed the story of the arrest of the preacher in Richmond during his sermon. After Bruce finished telling the story, a young man in the congregation told him that he had just received a call from his college schoolmate, who was a photographer covering the dinner! He relayed how the preaching had brought him under conviction, and how the preachers had been preaching "right at me". While already a professing Christian, he told his friend that he was so moved by what he saw that he now feels he MUST do something. He said to his friend, "This is what real Christians should act like".
Never underestimate the power of a public witness! Amen.
