Full Quiver Mission Stands Against Perversion

By the "Welcoming & Affirming Baptists"

If you haven't figure it out yet, what they "welcome and affirm" is the filthy sin of sodomy. The Murch Family joined Denny Green of Life & Liberty Ministries at the First Annual "Family Picnic" of the "Welcoming & Affirming Baptists". The local Baptists didn't welcome them, however. They had to hold their meeting in the Episcopal Church, which of late has also welcomed many abominations into her bosom. The meeting was in Richmond, VA, but the 200 or so participants had license plates from all over the country.

Bruce Evan Murch and Denny Green were not the only preachers there. A local pastor, Curtis Butterworth and long time anti-abortion activist Rev. Don Spitz from the Tidewater area of Virginia were also on hand. At left below, Denny green argues scripture with a "Reverend" who claims that the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality. The real wickedness of these people lies not in their abominable and perverse lifestyle, but rather that these pervert the Word of God in order to try to claim a righteous life and a place in God's Kingdom, while continuing in a practice that the Word of God calls "vile" and "unnatural" and "abomination"; "filthy and unlawful" and a "grievous sin". Below and right, Pastor Butterworth holds a sign quoting those very phrases about sodomy.

This exchange between Beverly Murch and one of the sodomites actually was begun by our 12-year-old son, Jesse (at right with striped shirt), who along with our 9-year-old son Evan (in the God Hates Sin shirt), was routinely preaching to folks as they walked by. Seeing the man's name tag identifying him as an attendee at the sodomite event, Jesse boldly approached the man and said, "Don't you know that sodomy is an abomination to God and against His law? The man (thinking Jesse was too young to know what sodomy was) asked him to explain. Jesse began preaching to him from God's Word in Romans 1. Soon Beverly stepped up, curious about the conversation, and before long, She was in an involved conversation with the sodomite who most definitely did not have "ears to hear what the Spirit is saying".

Many of the people we spoke to insisted that "God loves us just the way we are". One young lady said, "How can you use up all that energy hating?"

Well, guess what? GOD HATES SIN! Furthermore Psalm 5 says He "hates all workers of iniquity".

I fear that most of these people are already reprobate. They have exchanged God's truth for a lie; and a repulsive, perverse and filthy one at that. However, in spite of the fact that most of them are doomed, it is possible that there are a few among them that can still be reached. It is for them that we attend to God's Word in their midst, and endure their blasphemies.

It is bad enough to go to a regular sodomite event and preach the Gospel to the lost. But these that profess Christ, remain in their wicked sin, and teach and persuade others that they can continue in this sin without repentance, will receive the greater condemnation.

We pray that God waters the seed that was sown.
