Mission Update:

Murch Family Presses On!

Train Up a Child in the Way That He Should Go...

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith
without works is dead also.
-James 2:26

Ever since the onset of Beverly Murch's cancer and depression two years ago, Bruce has, of necessity, curtailed much of his ministry activity. We thank God for the victory over uterine cancer. The nature of her depression however, requires that she be closely cared for. In spite of that, the Murch family has been involved in more public ministry work than at any time in their history!

Bruce & Beverly started in public, full-time ministry in 1989. Their eldest son Aaron has been on the streets with them since age six. Each of the Murch children has been brought up with the idea that their Christian faith was dead without works. Now, you can teach that to your children through instruction, but it is meaningless without an example. The Murches have led their children to the gates of hell to preach the Good News of Christ; repentance from sin and belief in the shed blood of Christ alone for sins; and vigorous opposition to the publicly flaunted wickedness of sodomy and baby-killing.

That example has paid off.

When you read the reports of the Latest Exploits of the Murch Family, you are reading about what our children are doing on their own initiative, and often with their own money!

Since our finances collapsed in September of 2005, we have hung on literally by praying in our daily bread and our essential bills. We have started an eBay store and sold off many of our personal belongings and many, many of our books. We have put together a truly gigantic yard sale, liquidating anything that we have not used in a couple of years. Bruce is preparing to roll out an internet marketing business on Bev's behalf this month, but we have not had the finances to drive to the abortion clinic in Roanoke (180 mile round trip) or send the kids on tours.

But they go to the abortion mill twice a week, and never miss a tour!

Lauren Murch (19) earns money caring for an autistic child by living in with the family in Ohio for a month at a time. Aaron (23) works part time doing title searches. Ben (21), Sam (17) and Jesse (15) work on a construction crew, and Ben also has his own woodworking business. Each of them contribute to the family income AND use their money to drive to the abortion mill twice weekly, and toward the incredibly high expenses of the week-long ministry tours.

Besides the weekly excursions to Roanoke, Virginia, the Murch children regularly render help to the Denny Green Family, Life & Liberty Ministries, in the Richmond area. This included a project to distribute literature to every home in the city of Richmond (they're about 1/3 of the way through!). In addition they have also joined our Pastor, Riley W. Ware in house-to-house evangelism in Floyd County, 100 miles away, where we attend church each week. They have also spent their own money on preaching tracts which they carry everywhere they go, and use virtually every opportunity to witness for Christ.

They recently completed a week-long Campus Preaching Tour to Arkansas. Lauren joined the Green's on a Face the Truth Tour which stirred up Syracuse, NY to the point that they were the Nightly News feature for several days there.

Busy Schedule

Check out the Events page for a complete list of the planned activities. Besides the trips already taken to Arkansas and New York, the Murch children are planning to attend events in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois so far!

Support

If you are able to help us financially, you can donate securely on-line, as well as the conventional way through the U.S. Mail. We are accountable to our pastor and elders in our church, and Pastor Riley Ware welcomes any inquiries concerning our family at rwware@swva.net.

Your ministry donations will be used either for our direct support as a family, or the actual expenses of gas, literature and other travel expenses that ministry requires. We would appreciate any help you can render, and we especially covet your prayers for Beverly, for our success in a home-based business enterprise, and the ongoing work of the ministry.

Thank you for you prayerful consideration for our family and ministry,
and may Christ and His mercy be your Cup & Portion.
